FAQ

Who can attend?

AWAKEN is open to all middle school and high school students. No matter your church background or affiliation, you are welcome! Our desire is for students from across the community and region to come together, encounter the gospel, and grow in Christ.

Is this an overnight event?

Yes. All participants will stay overnight at the Clay County Fairgrounds for the full weekend experience. There are separate, private sleeping areas for boys and girls, and showers are available on site.

Where will my student sleep?

Participants should bring a sleeping bag and/or air mattress. Each student will have space set aside in the designated sleeping areas for their group.

Can students invite friends?

Absolutely! Friends are welcome and encouraged to come. Anyone who wishes to attend simply needs to complete the registration form found on the main page awaken-youth.com

Are other churches involved?

Yes. All churches in Clay County have been invited, and several EPC churches from across Kansas and Missouri have already committed to attending. This will be a great opportunity for students to connect with peers from across the region.

How much does it cost to attend?

The cost is $75 per student, which covers:

  • 4 meals
  • Lodging
  • All worship sessions and main gatherings
  • Breakout rooms
  • Supplies and materials for the retreat

Payments are processed through Managed Missions, which allows for multiple smaller payments if needed. If cost is a concern, please let us know — we do not want finances to be a barrier for any student.

Note: Some attenders have experienced difficulties using the Managed Missions payment system. If you run into issues, please contact your youth leader as soon as possible.
